Today’s leg took us 13.5 miles south from Welwyn Garden City to High Barnet Station, passing Hertfordshire landmarks, green spaces, and suburban streets.
We began at Falcon Way, passed Bessemer Road, Broadwater Road, the Premier Inn, and Herts Police HQ
before moving through Stanborough Park. From there we followed Woodhall Landing Lane and Mill Green Lane, joining the A1000 through Hatfield, Brookman’s Park, and Potters Bar, under the M25, and finally arriving in High Barnet.

Along the way, we received the heartbreaking news of the loss of Veteran Andy Linford, who took his life yesterday.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones this evening. His passing is a painful reminder of why we walk in memory of Andy, and the hundreds/thousands more lost to #MilitarySuicide, many of whom were unknowingly harmed by Lariam (Mefloquine).
Today also marked a milestone: crossing 400 miles walked in memory.

Each mile has been a tribute, a call for awareness, and a step toward accountability.
A huge thank you to Peter Gordon, who walked with us in the early stages across the Scottish Borders and created a fantastic video capturing the journey. His work has been shared on his website and beautifully documents this mission: 🌐 Miles in Memory of Military Suicides
We also recognise Simon Marriot, who completed his own #TheLariamTab this morning, visiting war memorials at Stansted, Bishop’s Stortford, and Sawbridgeworth, a tremendous contribution to this cause.

Tomorrow we begin the final leg of the Lariam Tab. A shorter stage than usual, but full of meaning, as we close this journey in remembrance, solidarity, and hope.
Meet us at the Cenotaph, in London, on Friday 19 September after 1300hours, and celebrate this remarkable mission.
