After 22 days and 420 miles, the final chapter of #TheLariamTab has been written.

The Special Poppy laid at the Cenotaph, London

What began in the quiet of West Linton in the Scottish Borders

Day 1 West Linton

has now ended in the very heart of London, at the Cenotaph, where we paid tribute to those we lost to #MilitarySuicide, especially those impacted by Lariam.

We were guided on this final stage by our fantastic companion for the day, Wolly, an old school friend, local, and a man whose knowledge was truly invaluable.

Wolly had carefully proven the route ahead of time and, with his guidance, we uncovered a hidden gem of a trail, the Dollis Valley Greenway,

a green ribbon of paths that led us directly into London’s heart.

Along the way, we stopped at the iconic Abbey Road crossing.

The Beatles famous ‘Abbey Road’ crossing

While we may not have been “Beatles,” the journey had given us a different signature, the faithful snail 🐌, slow and steady, marking our way across the country.

The walk into central London was seamless, threading through Hyde Park, Green Park, and St James’s,

before the final steps across Horse Guards Parade.

We dedicated those last moments to Mandy Small and Jane Quinn, two extraordinary women who lived through the heartbreak of #MilitarySuicide and Lariam.

Their strength and their stories have been central to this mission.

September Heat for the final leg

It was a hot day, but as we approached the finish, we were joined by family and friends, who walked with us for the last few steps.

At the Cenotaph, with beret and a special poppy in hand, Andrew laid the flower in solemn remembrance.

It was an emotional, relieving, yet sobering moment a salute to all those we have lost, and to the families who remain.

The day was made even more special by the presence of so many old friends, family members, and supporters, bringing the walk to a heartfelt and powerful close.

420 miles. 22 days. Every step in memory.

This journey may be complete, but the mission continues.
