Little Smeaton→Maltby(20.5 miles)
Today wasn’t just another leg of the journey, it marked a powerful milestone. We’ve now passed the halfway point of the 420-mile journey in memory. Each step so far has carried the weight of loss, remembrance, and hope, and today we were reminded why this mission matters. Even if it was a bit of a slow start.

As the route took us past Doncaster, we paused to remember Captain Gary Case, RIFLES, who tragically died by suicide in 2019.

Special thanks to our friends with lived experience of both Lariam and #MilitarySuicide who walked beside us these past few days. Your presence brought strength, solidarity, and meaning that words cannot capture.

Gratitude also to everyone supporting our JustGiving page for the National Memorial Arboretum. The reach of this mission continues to inspire us, with donations, even arriving from as far away as Australia🇦🇺

And a nod to my trusted boots. After 200+ miles, they’re still holding strong. Here’s to them carrying me all the way to London🥾🥾
If you’ve also been touched by #MilitarySuicide, whether through lived experience or as a bereaved loved one, please know you are not alone. 💚 We invite you to share your story, anonymously if you wish, as part of this journey.
