Ways You Can Get Involved
Whether you can help us for the full 22 days or simply lend your support along the way, your involvement makes a difference.

Follow our progress, share your own stories of service, and help us shine a spotlight on the need for recognition and support for those affected by military suicides and Lariam injuries.

Walk With Us
Take part in the route — whether it’s the first mile, cheering at the finishing line, or even a full day’s journey for the more hardy. Join us on the trail as we honour the memories of those lost to military suicide and raise awareness of the long-term effects of Lariam.
- Sign up to walk for a day or a section. Numbers will be limited as we must keep this safe, especially on busy roads.
- Walk in memory of someone special — wear their name, share their story.
- Organise a local mini-tab in your area.

Share Your Story
Your voice matters. Lived experiences help drive change and offer connection for others suffering in silence.
- Submit your personal story or testimony about Lariam, military service, or mental health. (Contact us)
- Send photos, videos, or letters to be featured along the route or in our online social media.

Spread the Word
Raising awareness is as vital as raising funds. Help us reach more families, veterans, and decision-makers.
- Follow us on social media and share our daily updates
- Use the hashtag #TheLariamTab #ThePoppyAndThePill to amplify the message.
- Download and distribute our posters, digital flyers, and campaign messages.

Fundraising & Donations
Every penny helps us push further, shout louder, and provide tangible support to those affected.
- Donate directly or simply use our Just Giving page — all funds go to The National Arboretum to maintain their grounds and memorials.
- Complete one of the day’s routes on your own or with friends, as an additional fund-raiser
- Nominate The National Arboretum as your charity for workplace or school events.

Volunteer Your Time or Skills
Behind the scenes, volunteers make this mission possible.
- Offer support along the route — water points, first aid, morale boosts.
- Help with logistics, media coverage, reposting, photography, or admin.
- Host a welcome point, checkpoint, or rest stop in your community (along the route).

Be a Local Hero
Be the voice for your community — engage local councils, veterans’ organisations and the public.
- Arrange local awareness talks, social media post, acknowledge this at coffee mornings.
- Connect us with press, MPs, or support services.
- Help us build a legacy that lives beyond these miles.
Together, We Walk With Purpose
